I like this a lot, but it failed initially as my default pronunciation of www has become wuh wuh wuh.

I think you're pre-emptively solving this problem; and /'wəwəwə/'s better than all of this mess. Hopefully, given publicity, we will see /'dʌbəlju:'dʌbəlju:'dʌbəlju:/ less.

It worked for me, I think due to the form. But I'm generally a dubdubdub type. And coincidentally, not a fan of phonetics as a teaching methodology ?

IIRC Ambrose Bierce proposed that W be renamed "wow" for this sort of reason.
