This is a very boring post

How do you get old aluminium-salts-based antiperspirant deposits off clothing? I can find hundreds of suggestions via web-searching, most of which sound very unlikely.

It depends on the fabric and colour.

Standard things to try are
bleach
white vinegar
bicarb

and never heat dry the stained clothes - warm water then line dry is best

I think they are the best things to try first, before going on to some very nasty chemicals.

If the stains have already been heated (ironed, tumble-dried) then only the big hitters would work if anything can.

I've never had any luck with them...on the plus side, it ensures an unlimited supply of floor-cleaning rags, dusters, and dishcloths.
