How often do you get phone scammers calling you? I don't mean people just selling things, I mean people trying to get your financial details from you under false pretences ("We can wipe out the debt on your credit card"), or get you to install malware on your computer ("We're from Microsoft and we think you may have a virus").

Those "we can wipe out your debt" people are trying to scam me for personal data? I assumed they wanted to indulge in usury against me.

I get a lot of that kind of thing (especially via SMS). I blame Experian. I double-checked my credit record a few months ago and made quite certain to tick all the boxes saying they couldn't give my details to anyone. But I think they did anyway.

By "Quite a lot" I mean "Most days I get a call".

I may have received scam calls without knowing it. I've had a quite a few calls from people with too strong a non-English accents for me to understand them on a bad line who've just hung up after the fifth "Could you repeat yourself I can't hear you." from my end.
